Giorgio Armani to Open Store in Cannes

Last night, the Giorgio Armani Group celebrated the opening of its store in Cannes. This is the company’s fourth store in France. The boutique, which features a terrace, is also home to an Armani/Caffè, which serves breakfast, lunch, and appetizers. The cafè specializes in cold Italian dishes. The store, Armani/Caffè, and outdoor terrace measure 6,500 square feet. Stores nearby include Dolce & Gabbana and Céline. The boutique’s palette is based on Armani’s signature grey shade and was designed by Giorgio Armani himself and his team of architects.

“Cannes has a unique charm. It’s a dynamic and lively city, frequented by an international public, the ideal setting for the new boutique and to inaugurate the world’s first Armani/Caffè, spaces that perfectly express my concept of lifestyle and that join the modernity and style of this location,” the Giorgio Armani said. The Armani group runs a total of 2,203 stores in 46 countries.

Ralph Lauren to Show Resort Collection in Runway Show

Ralph Lauren will stage a resort runway show at his women’s flagship at 888 Madison Avenue on June 6th. This season marks the first time Lauren is showing resort on the runway. In the past he has presented his resort looks during private appointments at his showroom or not shown it to press at all. This shows the growing importance of the resort season. Oscar de la Renta and Calvin Klein are among the designers who show their resort collections on the runway.

Amazon Launching Men’s Website

Amazon aims to become a destination for beauty brands, and it’s taking a step forward by launching an area of their site dedicated to men’s grooming. The company upgraded their visual presentation with product shots and a black mustache icon.

There are six categories in all including shaving and hair, skin, and body care. The brands featured include Baxter of California, American Crew, Dove, Axe, Nivea, Gillette, and Ahava. “The Men’s Grooming store allows us to introduce a more curated shopping experience for men,” said Chance Wales, Amazon’s director of men’s health, beauty and personal care.

Men’s Fitness magazine has collaborated with Amazon on editorial content. Articles include how-to guides, step-by-step instructions, and problem solving ideas. You can visit the site at, and maybe even leave the website up on your man’s computer as a (not so) subtle hint!
