Giorgio Armani to Launch New Women’s Fragrance
Giorgio Armani Parfums and its licensing partner L’Oréal Luxe are launching a sophisticated fragrance featuring actress Cate Blanchett as the face. Called Sì, the Italian word for “yes,” the scent is expected to be among in the world’s top 10 bestsellers. The bottle is simple, featuring clear, rectangular glass with rounded edges and a shiny black cap. Top notes include chypre, cassis nectar, and musky wood. Other notes in the fragrance are vanilla, rose de mai, freesia, patchouli, jungle essence, and intense orcanox.
“For me, fragrance contains memory, the scent of your mother, your friends… I think fragrance is a really subtle but important way in which women express themselves and express who they aspire to be,” Blanchett said. “This fragrance is very chic, timeless with a freshness and warmth I find inspiring.” The advertising campaign will first launch in the U.K. Sì will be available in three bottle sizes ranging in price from $72 to $145.
