Yes…we needed a change after the avant garde stylings of Margiela.
It has just been announced that Isabel Marant will be designing a collection for H&M this Fall called “Isabel Marant Pour H&M”. The collection will include apparel and accessories for women and teens (H&M has a teen section?), as well as Marant’s first foray into menswear. No word on exact pieces but you can bet they’ll be something to behold.
“I am flattered by this collaboration,” said Marant. “H&M works with the best designers, and this invitation is an exciting honor. I aim at creating something real – something women want to wear in their everyday lives – with a certain carefree style. I think this is very Parisian: You dress up, but don’t pay too much attention to it, and you still look sexy. The collection is infused with this kind of easiness and attitude. Everything can be combined following one’s own instincts, and my take on fashion is all about personality.”
Watch Marant in action as she talks about some of those fabulous Paris influences and how her natural aesthetic will translate to the fast fashion brand.
The collection hits 250 stores on November 14. Can you wait that long?
