Elie Tahari Opens on Fifth Avenue

The new Elie Tahari store at 510 Fifth Avenue has opened. Tahari is using the temporary space as an experimental showcase to test design and retail concepts. The 5,400-square-foot store will be open through the fall. Oversized windows allow onlookers to watch photo shoots and pattern cutters and sewers working. The temporary space houses women’s shoes, bags, ready to wear and men’s wear and is bright and airy with marble walls and floors. A collection of mementos celebrating Tahari’s 40th anniversary will be displayed in the store for New York Fashion Week.

Lea Michele to Partner with L’Oréal for 2013 Awards

It’s almost time for the eighth annual Women of Worth Awards, and L’Oréal Paris has tapped brand spokesperson Lea Michele to assist with the selection 10 inspiring women who will receive $10,000 each. For the first time ever, this year’s winners will represent women across five different generations, two from each age group. L’Oréal is accepting nominations until June 21 at The winners who are selected are dedicated to an array of social causes.

Cynthia Rowley Launches Eyewear Online

Cynthia Rowley’s latest venture is an online eyewear line that launches today. The collection features a full range of optical and sunglasses for both men and women. They feature modern silhouettes, vintage elements, and come in different colors and finishes. There will be 18 women’s and 13 men’s styles and the line will change seasonally to coincide with Rowley’s ready-to-wear collection.
