Marni Launches Evening Collection

Today, Marni will unveil its Evening Collection, a new line specializing in women’s evening clothes and accessories. Described as a “special-occasion collection for Marni loyalists” by CEO Gianni Castiglioni, it includes ready-to-wear and a full accessories line.

“For me, the Marni Evening Collection is a fascinating area of research in terms of design and materials,” said creative director Consuelo Castiglioni, who stayed true to the brand’s aesthetics. The line has an effortless elegance, and features subtle, sophisticated details. The Evening Collection will be available in Marni stores in November, along with the resort collection. Retail prices will range from $600 to $5,530.

Sienna Miller and Tom Sturridge are Burberry’s Latest Faces

Sienna Miller and Tom Sturridge are the faces of Burberry’s fall 2013 collection and were shot together for the first time as a real-life couple. The campaign is continuing with Burberry’s “playful and romantic mood” for the upcoming season. The brand also recently launched Burberry Kisses, a personalized digital kiss-sending platform. “This was a shoot full of love and laughter,” said Burberry CEO Christopher Bailey. “It was such a treat to work with Sienna and Tom, and capture their magic together.” Famed photographer Mario Testino shot the campaign.

Missing Missoni Plane Found off Venezuela

Almost six months ago, a plane carrying Vittorio Missoni and five others went missing off the coast of Venezuela. Authorities have finally located the small plane that disappeared on January 4 as it left Los Roques for Caracas. The quick 90 mile trip turned into a nightmare for Vittorio Missoni, his wife, and four others. All aboard the plane are presumed dead. Missoni ran the Missoni fashion house with his siblings, Luca and Angela.

“At this time, efforts are underway to recover the wreckage,” the families of those aboard the plane said in the statement. “The families would like to thank the Venezuelan and Italian governments for its commitments in finding the wreckage and the family is confident that the investigation into the cause of the incident.”
