Pour La Victoire Names Cameron Diaz Artistic Director
The new artistic director at Pour La Victoire is… Cameron Diaz? In an interesting announcement, the actress will assume her first role in fashion. The actress will be focusing on the brand’s bag and shoe collections, in addition to merchandising, marketing, and advertising. Diaz has creative control over the higher-end line, which retails from $200 to $500. Diaz told WWD, “Being influential in a brand and in its [advertising] campaigns interests me. I love fashion. It’s a large part of my life. What I wear is looked at. It influences what other people wear because that’s just the world we live in.” We will have to wait and see if this partnership is a good fit for the brand, Diaz’s first collection will not hit the market until next spring. Let’s see if Cameron can avoid the celebrity-turned-designer cliché.

Mizrahi’s limited-edition patterns, Splatter Paint and Candy Buttons, will be featured. “I’m a polka dot person,” Mizrahi said. “Especially in bright colors. Color is extremely important to me. My brand stands for color, and happy colors especially.” The line will be available in August at Sephora stores and at Sephora.com.
