Hot summer days tend to make me start dreaming about fall, the season of layering and rich colors. And one of my favorite layering pieces is chunky sweaters. Whether form fitting or oversized, a chunky sweater instantly makes an outfit look cozy. For the fall 2013 runway shows, many designers created boxy sweaters that somehow look comfortable and chic at the same time. The following are of my favorites.
Saint Laurent (pictured above)
Hedi Slimane’s creations for Saint Laurent were decidedly grunge. Although my style is certainly not grunge, I still long for this oversize cardigan!
The shape of this sweater would look great over a pencil skirt or slim-fit pants. Plus, I love cuffed sleeves!
I like the grey-and-brown color combination. The details on the sweater create a chunky look that still defines the waist.
The mixed patterns on this Charl0tte Ronson sweater are subtle, yet unique and textural.
This sweater has just the right amount of slouch and elegance.
