DVF’s Fall Campaign Styled by Carine Roitfeld
Diane von Furstenberg’s fall campaign features model Daria Werbowy and was styled by Carine Roitfeld. The images have the feeling of Seventies-era paparazzi shots, and feature DVF’s iconic wrap dresses and the brand’s new Sutra bags. The campaign will debut in September fashion magazines. DVF is also focusing on digital media, with custom interactive units, homepage takeovers, and mobile integration on style.com, elle.com, and nymag.com. “This campaign, like the collection it represents, is really about getting back to our roots. It is about empowering women to be the rock star and the muse of their own lives,” said von Furstenberg.
Spanx Launching Star Power Brand
Spanx Inc. is set to launch a new brand called Star Power by Spanx. The collection features shapewear, foundations, hosiery, and slimming apparel and was inspired by celebrities on the red carpet. The line will range in price from $22 to $138 and will be available this month at Macy’s stores, macys.com, and spanx.com. The collection will also hit Nordstrom this fall.
Triumph International will be Available in the US
Triumph International, the world’s largest lingerie company, will be opening stores in the US this month and e-commerce will launch in November. The undergarment specialist, worth $2.1 billion, includes brands Triumph, Sloggi, Valisère, and Hom. The first stores will open at the Walt Whitman and Roosevelt Field shopping malls in Huntington Station and Garden City, NY. A third store is set to open in New Jersey in early 2014. Supermodel Helena Christensen has been featured in the brand’s advertising campaigns.
Milly to Launch First Ad Campaign
After 13 years in business, Milly will release their debut advertising campaign. The images will appear in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, and other fashion glossies both in the US and abroad. French model Loulou Robert wears Milly clothes and accessories in the campaign, shot by Cedric Buchet.
