Coconut oil is undoubtedly getting a lot of buzz lately. Not only for it’s dietary benefits (like; regulating cholesterol, preventing heart disease, preventing kidney and gall bladder diseases and enhancing proper thyroid function and digestion…to name a few) it also has quite a few beauty benefits. Coconut oil has been described by nutritionists as “the healthiest oil on earth” for good reason.
Carrington Farm’s Organic Extra-Virgin Coconut Oil is simply pressed and bottled so it retains its original nutrient content, flavor and color. It is certified organic, has no trans & hydrogenated fats, and is perfect for healthy high heat cooking up to 350 F. You can use coconut oil as a healthy and delicious replacement for butter or fat; sauteed vegetables, roast sweet potatoes, add to smoothies or mix into cereal. It’s also great in baked goods and over popcorn! What makes this brand so special is that it is one of the better quality coconut oils for the price.
You may also notice coconut oil now appearing in body washes, hair conditioners and body creams as well. However, you can use coconut oil in it’s rawest form for countless beauty needs. I have been. You can use coconut oil for skin or as a hair moisturizer, and you can even apply it to bee stings and bug bites to soothe and heal wounds. Coconut Oil turns into a liquid at 76 degrees F or higher. Carrington Farm’s recently released their NEW pure organic unrefined extra virgin coconut oil in a convenient, recyclable 12 oz. container (pictured above) for $7.99. The smaller container you to experience the perks of coconut oil without buying a massive container or breaking the bank. Carrington Farm’s extra virgin coconut oil maintains a pure white color, a fresh coconut taste and requires no refrigeration. Good thing because my container currently resides in my bathroom!
