Kelsi Dagger Branches Out

When PLV Studio Inc, the New York based accessory company, announced Cameron Diaz as its artistic director for Pour La Victoire, that was only the beginning of things to come. Now, Kelsi Dagger, the company’s sister label founded in 2009 will be stepping out and assuming its own identity by relocating to Brooklyn as KDB, where it will launch with its Spring 2014 Collections.

Chris Nakatani, who took over as CEO of the company in January, saw the potential in the brand and wanted to create something unique and consistent. That’s when David Giordano, Company Co-founder and Creative Director of Pour La Victoire, executed the vision.

“I always felt the brand seemed to lack a definitive point of view or something to sink your teeth into at the start of the creative process…We felt a surge of energy and a profound understanding of where we wanted to go with the brand and we have been embracing the concept ever since,” said Giordano.

Until the store opens, the Kelsi Dagger shoe and handbag collections are still sold at fine department stores such as Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s and specialty boutiques throughout the US.
