Opening today, the location is at 24 East 64th Street in a 3,500-square-foot town house. The designers are using apartment above the store for VIP fittings.

Opening Ceremony Plans for First Fashion Week

Opening Ceremony is getting ready for their first fashion week runway show (not related to Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony shows). During the week of New York Fashion Week the brand is setting up a pop-up market at Pier 57 on Hudson River Park. The pop-up will be called Opening Ceremony BTW (by the water) and will include DKNY for Opening Ceremony and Rihanna for River Island. There will also be food vendors including Asia Dog, Café Habana, Spur Tree and Dominique Ansel Bakery. Nail artist Naomi Yasuda will also be at the Estée Lauder pop-up salon hosted by Opening Ceremony.

Rent the Runway to Partner With L’Oréal Paris

Rent the Runway is collaborating with L’Oréal Paris on a marketing initiative. It will kick off this fall on 200 college campuses across the US with Rent the Runway’s collegiate brand ambassadors. Both companies will be marketed through social media and fun events where students can pick out dresses and makeup. L’Oréal and Rent the Runway will also be recruiting for internships at the campuses.
