Fiona Kotur Expanding Into Footwear

The accessories label Kotur is adding shoes to its offerings. Though it’s known mainly for its clutches, Kotur will debut its first shoe collection during NY Fashion Week and will have “travel chic” vibe to it. “I’ve always wanted to do shoes. It’s about having the freedom to be personal,” said designer Fiona Kotur. The shoes will compliment the bags and jewelry in the collections, which are produced in Italy and Shanghai. The pumps, sandals, and flats are made from materials like snakeskin, suede, and silk satin and will retail from $350 to $850. Style Awards to Air on CNN

The 10th annual Style Awards are upon us! Top talent in the fashion and entertainment industries will be honored next Wednesday at Lincoln Center. The awards, hosted by Nicole Richie, will kick off Fashion Week. Ten awards will be given out and honorees include Zac Posen, Kate Upton, Victor Cruz, Frédéric Fekkai, Patrick Demarchelier, Rachel Zoe, John Varvatos, Trish Summerville, and Janie Bryant. Joe Zee is scheduled to be the show’s red-carpet correspondent. The Style Awards will air on CNN on Sept. 14 at 7 pm ET.

Which beauty brand is the most engaged on social media? The answer may be very surprising. According to Stylophane, which monitors Facebook and Twitter for fashion and beauty companies, it’s Kat Von D’s cosmetics brand. The line, which is exclusive to Sephora, has more than 4.6 million fans on Facebook alone. Coming in second is Cover Girl and the third spot goes to Carol’s Daughter.
