Nothing like taking a #selfie first in the morning! Lauren and Alia having some fun at the Style Coalition #PGStyle Lounge! And yes, we’re dying for coffee…
Meeting up with our beloved Ted Gibson for the first time backstage at Carmen Marc Valvo. Having decided to use dip-dyed wigs in the show (!) Ted proved master of his craft as he carefully cut each wig to customize each model. Genius!
Meanwhile, over at Kate Spade New York’s backstage, we found Deborah Lloyd getting her hair done before the show along with the models. She cheerfully said, “It’s the calm before the storm!”
Over at Zimmermann, the ‘Ringmaster’ theme came through in ethereal, candy-like confections, structured metallic separates and vertical stripes that looked like they belonged under the Big Top. We particularly loved the movement on this floral printed dress.
Sharing a celebratory glass (or 2) of champagne with Carmen Marc Valvo and hearing first-hand about his Spring ’14 collection directly following his runway show. Hey, it was after noon! Well, like 5 minutes after…
We couldn’t get over the haunting eyes by M.A.C. Cosmetics paired with long flowing locks at Noon by Noor.
Lauren’s fabulous arm party grabs the spotlight with beautiful baubles by BuDha Girl, Cartier, and of course, Robert Verdi! #frontrowlove
Taneisha (wearing a score from the Phillip Lim Target Launch) finally snags a shot with designer Sally LaPointe after how many seasons? Congrats.
After several collections veering dangerously close to the safe side so far, we were more than thrilled to see the burst of bold print and color hanging on the racks at the Suno show in Milk Studios! There’s hope for Spring’ 14 yet.
This is how all busy days need to end: a swanky venue, a gorgeous view and totally geeky celebrity sightings. While enjoying a much deserved end of day cocktail at the Rebecca Minkoff after party at the Jimmy in The James Hotel NYC, we spotted SNL cast member Nasim Pedrad! If you’re not familiar with her yet, google her Kim Kardashian impression and you’ll immediately love her as much as we do! Trust.
We’re still going strong… stay tuned for Day 3!!
