Even though it’s bright and early during Fashion Week, it’s always an easier day when you start it off with some friends. Showing off the Stetson hats from the Ruffian show backstage, we ran into Lorna from The Fab Report.
One of our favorite designers, Son Jung Wan! How cute is she? It’s always a joy to talk to her about her collection. She never fails to be so full of energy and so excited. It’s contagious.
The beauty for the show was just as amazing. Shiseido did a great job taking that energy from the collection and using it in the show. The bright red cat-eye really sets everything off, don’t you think?
Jill Stuart perfects the perfect smoky eye. Keepin’ it rocker girl chic, you can expect to see this look all Fall season long.
The show was just as fun! Leather, mesh and cutouts had a huge present on the runway. Jill Stuart‘s collection mixed a little bit of femininity (the classic baby doll dresses) with edgy materials. This is certainly an unexpected turn for the Spring. We’ve got huge shows showing lots of leather pieces and peek-a-boo cutouts.
This was on the wall at the Birchbox wall. We stood there laughing at it for about five minutes so we figured everyone would love to enjoy this “art”.
We had a little time before the Malan Breton show, so what better time than to run into the Blogging Project Runway team? Pretty sure they are the only people in the world who are as obsessed with Project Runway as we are.
Katya Leonovich created this great gilded patchwork dress. Can’t you see it shimmering from here?
Cynthia Rowley kept it gothic with a lot of color this year. There was a mix of all types of fabrics, including embroidery and neoprene. There was even a bright floral print drawing focus to this collection. With so many trends going on, this proved to be quite the show.
And the train keeps on rolling. Look out for Day 4!
