Crocs Launching Upscale Collection
Yes, you read that headline correctly! Crocs will debut a collection under the name Stefano Furiani to target a higher-end consumer. The line, though still affordable at the price range of $80 to $120, definitely doesn’t look like your traditional Croc. Conceived and designed by Crocs designer Stefano Furiani, hence the name, the collection will include pumps and flats in a range of colors. Zappos.com will carry the shoes, which will not be sold in Crocs stores or on its website. Sound off below in the comments- would you wear upscale Crocs?
Petit Bateau Collaborates with Lacroix and Paris Opera
The children’s wear brand, French couturier, and opera house are all partnering on a holiday designer collaboration. The capsule collection, scheduled to hit stores on December 6, consists of four styles for women and two for children. Available at Petit Bateau stores and at the Opéra Garnier boutique in Paris, the line is meant for both mother and daughter. The tag on the clothes will say “Petit Bateau et Opéra National de Paris par Christian Lacroix.” Très chic!
L’Oréal Creates Beauty Book
L’Oréal analyzes the subject of beauty with the book “Philocalie,” which is Greek for the “love of beauty.” Available first in France this week, the 156-page book features contributions from designers, artists, philosophers, and art historians. Sonia Rykiel, Olympia Le-Tan, Oscar Niemeyer, and Joey Starr all contributed to the tome. Five thousand copies of this limited-edition book were printed.
