How could I resist virtual twins Donatella and Lady Gaga? In the post Lady Gaga Loves Versace by French blog Luxsure the relationship between the two is not only familia, but exemplified through song.
“Donatella, maybe she’s a bitch, maybe she’s too skinny, maybe she’s too rich, maybe she’s too out there. Or, maybe she’s brilliant, maybe she’s intelligent, maybe she’s strong, maybe she’s everything, maybe she’s Donatella.” Read and see more here.
I’m sorry, say what? Did I just read this headline correctly? There is actually a post I Need to Water Down My Wine by French blog (yes, French) Liquid and Solid Ideas. I think my head is going to explode.
A good friend, very knowledgeable about Spain, warned me a while ago: “I enjoy reading your posts but, be careful, you will make enemies”. And he advised me “to water down (my) wine”. Yeah, I understand his fears, the press over here, whether from right or left, paper or digital prefers a culture of “subject-verb-compliment” to good old rants. All truths cannot be uttered and the ability of a journalist (even more so one who reviews wine) is measured by the way he uses his tongue. I mean the tongue that licks, not the one that tastes or expresses itself. Read more I Need to Water Down My Wine here.
I’m in house hunting hell and could really use a vacation. I’m not getting one so living vicariously will have to do for now. The Scenic Coastline of L’Ametlla de Mar (Spain) post by Italian blog Fashion for Travel made me want to get out of dodge right now! Mostly pictures and not a lot of words, but who needs those?
What are the beaches of L’Ametlla de Mar like? Read more The Scenic Coastline of L’Ametlla de Mar (Spain) here.
Red velvet? Check. Donuts? Double check. Since I love both, but refrain and have to resort to pictures, the post Red Velvet Mini Doughnuts
by Spanish blog Hands in the Dough had to be enough. It wasn’t. Now I want one. OK, I want a few.
This month I’m particularly proud of the red velvet recipe that I baked. It wasn’t hard at all; I was finished in half an hour. The recipe is quite light, and the mini presentation is very adequate. Above all, my daughter loved them. (I’m sure!) Read more Red Velvet Mini Doughnuts here.
My mother has been wearing Armani ever since I can remember so I feel like I already know a lot about him, but when I saw his clothes on Richard Gere in American Gigolo, I have been obsessed with his influence in film. So of course the blog post Giorgio Armani Dresses Jodie Foster in Elysium by Italian blog Tenditrendy peeked my interest.
Giorgio Armani has always been present in the history of Italian and international cinema; his latest collaboration was with costume designer April Ferry to dress the great Jodie Foster in the movie “Elysium“, produced by TriStar Pictures in association with Media Rights Capital, playing in Italian theaters now.
