Saks Links With ABC’s Scandal

With all of the excitement surrounding the return of Scandal, which generates 10 million viewers weekly, Saks wanted to get in on the thrill. To celebrate the third season, which debuts Oct. 3, the show’s star Kerry Washington, creator Shonda Rhimes and costume designer Lyn Paolo will meet-and-greet shoppers at the flagship on Fifth Avenue on Oct. 2. While the actress’ actual wardrobe from the show won’t make an appearance in the display windows, pieces from her character’s favorite designers, such as Giorgio Armani, Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Michael Kors and Carolina Herrera will. The famous Olivia Pope line “it’s handled” will also be stamped in the window.

Lancel Names New Creative Director

The leather accessories house has called on Nicole Stulman to be its new creative director. A Lancel spokeswoman confirmed the appointment, and said the fashion guru is already on board. Her new position comes after the resignation of the company’s longtime designer Leonello Borghi, who relocated to New York for personal reasons. Stulman’s previous roles include top design positions or consultancies at Reed Krakoff, Hermès, Christian Dior, Burberry and Céline.

Anthony Vaccarello and China’s Stella Luna Team Up For Second Shoe Collection

The two designers are at it again, and it’s a great thing. The second season of the shoe collection includes eight different styles, and three of them premiered on the Belgian designer’s runway in Paris earlier this week. “I have always loved designing shoes,” said Vaccarello. “I think I am a fetishist.” The entire line will be sold starting in January 2014 in the Stella Luna Paris boutique and in select Stella Luna stores in China. Some also will be available at certain Anthony Vaccarello shops, including Colette, Montaigne Market and The Webster.
