Joy to the Girls Collection

Too Faced Partners with Mary McDonald

Too Faced has partnered with Bravo’s “Million Dollar Decorators’” star Mary McDonald for their first designer collaboration. Called Joy to the Girls, the holiday collection is inspired by McDonald’s signature chevron patterns. Launching October 1, the collection consists of four makeup palettes with cheeky names like Jingle All the Way, A Few of my Favorite Things, and Be Merry and Bright. The Joy to the Girls collection will be available on October 1 at Sephora, Ulta, and at toofaced.com.

Azzedine Alaïa Boutique Opens in Paris

Azzedine Alaïa has opened a three-story boutique near the Avenue Montaigne in Paris. The store, housed in an 18th-century mansion, is decorated minimally and has no window displays. The space features UFO-like circular light fixtures, angular racks, a brushed steel chandelier, a four-story marble staircase, and two abstract paintings by Christoph von Weyhe.

Elie Saab Set to Release Book

Elie Saab is sharing his story this November. His book, simply titled “Elie Saab” will feature stories about his business and personal life, and will contain archival photos. Each chapter will describe a different stage in the designer’s life and business. Saab teamed up with the French writer Janie Samet for the tome, which will be sold in a luxurious slipcase. The book will debut in stores November 15.

Schiaparelli Hires Marco Zanini

Schiaparelli has appointed Marco Zanini as its creative director and announced Zanini’s first collection will debut in January during couture week in Paris. He will be in charge of couture and Schiaparelli’s “pret- à-couture,” or high-end ready-to-wear. This announcement comes on the heels of Schiaparelli unveiling plans to revive its brand. Zanini was previously the head designer of Rochas, and has previously worked at Versace, Halston, and Dolce & Gabbana.
