Fall ’13 Fashion Trend: Leather & Faux Leather Track Pants

October 7, 2013 • Fashion Blog, Trends

This past Friday I spent a frustrating hour and a half at Bloomingdale’s trying to find something I was looking for. I hate when my hunt is unsuccessful. I digress. While there though, I came across a pair of leather track pants by Elizabeth and James and needless to say, I now have a new fixation. Can you tell I can’t get enough leather this season? Hey, I live in NYC!

This pair of leather track pants was nearly $1,000 and I knew if I even went there, I would be a dead woman…and I would never pay full retail for them anyway. So, could I find leather or faux leather track pants for less? Obviously I would find faux leather for less, but would I like them? Well for a fraction of the cost, I could try! I prefer leather track pants with eleastic at the cuffs, but some come without. You may be asking how you should style these “notice me pants.” The trick is to be noticed for the right reasons. Since the look is a bit baggy you want to make sure your top is either fitted or at least tucked in. I am not even going to mention cropped, which you should avoid unless you are under 30. Wear them with a pair of booties or high heels and for the love of God…no socks! If you wear a loose or long top with this style of pant, you are going to look larger than you really are. And who wants that?

Anyway, take a look at the leather and faux leather track pants I found and be sure to click on each image to see exactly where they can be purchased.
