Fall ’13 Fashion Trend: It’s a Block Party!

October 10, 2013 • Fashion Blog, Trends

Colorblocking. It’s not a new trend. We saw it last winter and this past spring and well, like most other trends this season – it’s a retrend. That said, the smartest way to utilize colorblocking is to find garments where the blocking is strategically placed so your hips look slimmer or your waist looks tighter. Stella McCartney has created dresses and gowns we have seen at ad nauseam on red carpets everywhere the several seasons. Well there is good reason the celebs gravitate towards them. If you just can’t go there, try a pair of color-blocked shoes or maybe a bag. One thing is for certain though, you can’t escape it. Nor should you.
