I walk about 50 blocks a weekday. I’ve done the math. By the time I’ve taken and picked my two boys up from their respective schools (which are 8 long blocks away from each other) I have logged some serious mileage, usually while pushing a stroller. So I need comfortable shoes. The problem is, most comfortable shoes are ugly. I would prefer a sneaker since flats just don’t offer enough arch support, but running around in my gym shoes isn’t for me. I’m also over the wedge sneaker which frankly, I don’t find as comfortable as they should be.
So when I saw the Tsubo Decari wedge booties (which looks like a wedge sneaker mated with a bootie) I just knew I had to give them a try. My instincts were right! Trust me, this chukka boot wedge will be your go to boot all fall and winter. I feel like I can run track in these babies. I decided to forgo my usual black and go for charcoal to shake things up a bit and find they go with everything in my closet. The winning factor however is their comfort! Even though they have a 3″ heel, the ½”internal front platform offsets the pitch and the single density contoured PU footbed makes every step easy on the feet. The nonmarking rubber outsole and EVA heel cup absorbs the shock of my crazy, busy day. The hook and loop instep strap is adjustable and makes them a breeze to put on and take off…unlike my wedge sneakers which are laborious.
I don’t think I’ll take them off. Ever.
