A look from Tse's collaboration with Zarif Initiative

Tse Partnering With Zarif Initiative

Tse’s studio in SoHo is very different from the artisans who keep the Kabul-based Zarif Initiative running. Tina Lutz, Tse creative director, has decided to partner the very different worlds for spring. The women collective’s 52 workers have been sewing, weaving, and embroidering tops for the brand. In addition to providing income to these women and furthering their technical skills, Tse will donate $50 from the sale of each piece in the collaboration to the School of Leadership Afghanistan. Lutz said Zarif aims to promote traditional arts that continue to be at risk in war-torn Afghanistan. After learning about Zarif, Lutz was so taken with the handwoven fabrics that she immediately cemented Tse’s partnership with the artisan collective. This spring, Tse will sell 200 of the $795 cape-shaped scoop-neck top with hand embroidery online and in its stores.

Jean Paul Gaultier Perfumes Featured in Film

It’s been twenty years since the debut of the corseted Classique and the stripe-shirted Le Mâle fragrances, and they are now getting the silver-screen treatment. Jean Paul Gaultier’s iconic scents are featured in the short film “On the Docks” by British director Johnny Green. Already out in Europe, it will debut in the US in late November. The steamy film is a love story of a sailor and his girlfriend.
