The fisherman’s sweater. It’s as old as the fishing docks in Ireland, but what’s old is new again as things always are in fashion. New York Fashion Week Fall ’13 was literally awash in chunky cable-knits, borrowed from the boys. Look back at images from Ralph Lauren, The Row, Tommy Hilfiger, Marc Jacobs, Theyskens’ Theory (to mention just some). They all showed some form of the oversized, slouchy, yet versatile knit.
