This past Thursday, The Limited at Water Tower Place, celebrated their 50th Anniversary with lots of fashion, champagne and hors d’oeuvres! The evening included a fashion show featuring the latest looks from The Limited and unveiled the Ultimate Celebration Dress, which was chosen by women across the country in an online contest with nearly 10,000 people voting. The CEO of the Limited, Diane Ellis and Limited’s Senior Vice President of Design, Elliot Staples, the designer of the dress, co-hosted the event with local fashion expert, Corri McFadden.
The Limited also presented a $50K donation to Dress for Success, a nonprofit organization that offers professional apparel, a network of support and career development tools to women who are entering or re-entering the work force. Women who have benefited from Dress for Success also attended the event to celebrate.The company will donate $1 to Dress for Success for every submission, up to $50,000. Additionally, The Limited is donating to Dress for Success 30% of the proceeds from a limited edition clutch purse and a commemorative bracelet that will debut this fall. The winner chosen by the public for the ultimate party dress was the Riley dress which is a romantic, feminine floral lace and substantially luxurious satin dress.
