L’Oreal Paris Taps Blake Lively

Actress Blake Lively has signed on as the new face of L’Oréal Paris. The beauty company hasn’t yet said whether Lively will be featured in hair, make-up, or skincare campaigns. L’Oréal Paris says they chose the 26-year-old because she “embodies all the modern codes of Hollywood glamour. She is flashing a substantial swath of upper elegance and sensuality. She has become a beauty icon for a whole generation with her gorgeous gold-dipped hair, luminous gaze and drop dead smile,” said Cyril Chapuy, brand global president. Lively, who rose to fame as Serena on Gossip Girl, is joining L’Oréal Paris with model Lara Stone, who also just signed on.

The Prada Group and Coty Inc. have signed a deal to produce fragrances for the fashion house’s Miu Miu brand. The debut fragrance is slated to hit the market in 2015. This is the first time Miu Miu has entered the fragrance business. “The agreement with Coty, an internationally recognized reference in the luxury fragrance market, marks a major step forward in Miu Miu’s development plan,” said Patrizio Bertelli, CEO of the Prada Group. Michele Scannavini, CEO of Coty Inc., added, “Miu Miu is one of the most refined and respected luxury houses in the world and one of the fastest growing global brands in the whole fashion industry. It is an exciting opportunity for Coty to build a worldwide fragrance business for Miu Miu and also to further build our own market share in the prestige fragrance market.”

Zhang was awarded with 25,000 pounds, or $40,430, and a two-night stay at the Beverly Hills Hotel, Le Meurice, or the Hôtel Plaza Athénée in Paris.
