Beauty: Five Fabulous Finds On A Dime

November 18, 2013 • Beauty, Magazine

I’m always looking for great inexpensive beauty products! There are so many new products coming out on the market, and I’m always eager to try them. Over the past months, I have tried some tremendous ones that won’t break the bank. Here are some of my favorite beauty finds on a dime.

It is essential when applying makeup and foundation that you have the right tools. Long gone are the days of the round circle sponge that comes in your compact. Toss those out – they only work temporarily! Today it’s all about blending sponges. Yes, there are many on the market, but my new inexpensive tried and true one, is Essence of Beauty Precision Blender Sponge. It gets into all places you may not be able to with other sponges. You can use this with any wet or dry formula. Since this sponge does not soak up your foundation it will go a long way and you are sure to have a flawless finish.

My clients are always looking for a fantastic low-cost foundation. Yes, I use higher-end brands but have tried several from the drugstore that are very good. You don’t necessarily need an expensive foundation to do the trick, because drugstore brands are very comparable and some formulas are almost exact duplicates. One of my favorite foundation finds is L’Oreal True Match. The formula is not only buildable but it seeps into your skin seamlessly. I hate the feeling of ‘wearing’ makeup and this foundation feels like skin!

I love a good eye makeup discovery. Eye emphasis can really bring out the rest of your facial features. Eye color is just as important as foundation. It will bring color to your face as well as make your eyes pop. Just a little highlight and lid color will make your eye makeup complete. I have tried a few shades and I am totally in love with Maybelline’s Color Tattoo Eyeshadow. This easy-to-apply cream shadow is blendable but does not budge! I don’t need an eyeshadow base before applying because it holds that well.

Nothing beats an incredible inexpensive mascara. I have tons and its borderline addiction. If you are looking for the best drugstore mascara try Maybelline Volum’ Express The Faslsies Colossal Cat Eyes Mascara. Yes, you will get those come-hither lashes you are looking for. This gives astonishing length and volume to any lashes and one good coat will do. You will have the longest, plumpest lashes ever, and you’ll get them on the cheap!

Add the perfect color and shine to your lips with L’Oreal Colour Riche Le GlossThis inexpensive lip balm/gloss is almost an exact duplicate of higher end glosses. I absolutely adore how moisturized my lips feel, and it smells yummy! It adds just the right amount of color to lips that’s not overpowering. It is one of the best drugstore beauty products I have ever tried.
