Last week, Dennis Basso opened his flagship store and hosted a party to celebrate. The store is a multi-floor townhouse with 30 foot windows looking out onto bustling Madison Avenue, housing a boutique and atelier all in one.
I’ve always been a fan of Dennis Basso furs, but being among so many beautiful fur pieces at once turned me from a mere fan to full-fledged devotee. Sipping champagne roaming the 10,500 square foot store, I admired the ready-to-wear pieces on display. The first few floors (yes, there are even more than that) display furs and evening gowns side by side, while jewelry and other accessories are arranged in display cases throughout. The collections feature not only dark winter furs, but also whites, yellows, greens and pinks to boldly accent springtime outfits.
Celebrities and fashion icons in attendance included Debra Messing, Hoda Kotb, Katie Couric, Olivia Palmero, Natalie Joos and Brooke Shields. Each of these ladies looked stunning in her own Dennis Basso fur coat!
