Vince Camuto Femme

Vince Camuto Launching New Fragrance

Vince Camuto has created a third woman’s scent called Vince Camuto Femme. It was inspired by Camuto’s favorite flower, the delphinium and has a ‘sparkling floral’ lightness. The fragrance was developed by Adriana Medina and features notes of pink peppercorn, citrus, jasmine, rose, iris, patchouli, vetiver, warm amber, and vanilla. “We loved the idea of Femme [for a name] because it says it all and we were able to get it. We wanted something that signifies the strength and femininity- and yet be beautiful. A woman walks into a room, she can captivate. You wanted something that makes you feel powerful. It looks good. It’s feminine at the same time, romantic. We really wanted to speak to women. Because we are not there to talk to her, the way that we are going to do it is through the product,” Camuto said. The perfume will first be available at Macy’s in January. Then on Valentine’s Day, it will be sold at Nordstrom, Dillard’s, Belk and Bon-Ton. In addition to Femme eau de parfum, there will also be body lotion and shower gel.

Philosophy Adds to Skin-Care Line

Philosophy is set to launch new skin-care products and a new fragrance. “We decided to extend the skin-care routine with our treatment-based foundations,” said Jill Scalamandre, senior vice president of marketing. Miracle Worker Anti-Aging Liquid Makeup, Miracle Worker Miraculous Anti-Aging Color Correcting Concealing Duo, Hope in a Jar Light-as-Air Hydrating Fluid Makeup, and Time in a Bottle Eye Serum will all be available in January. These products are formulated to work with the existing Philosophy skin-care lines. The beauty brand’s new fragrance is called Loveswept and features notes of bergamot, blue violet flower, jasmine, lotus blossoms, purple passion fruit, warm musk, amber, and white cedarwood. In addition, Miracle Worker Overnight Age-Resetting Anti-Wrinkle Moisturizer will launch in March.

Target PIN Numbers Stolen

In case you haven’t heard, Target confirmed that PIN data was stolen from its system during a security breach that happened between Black Friday and December 15. This could have impacted up to 40 million shoppers who used their credit or debit cards at Target stores during the breach. Online shoppers have not been affected. Fraudulent transactions may have been made using the stolen information, but the retailer is staying positive. “We remain confident that PIN numbers are safe and secure. The PIN information was fully encrypted at the keypad, remained encrypted within our system and remained encrypted when it was removed from our systems,” Target said in a statement. Expert Terence Spies believes the cyber thieves couldn’t have done this job alone, and said “It looks like someone had insider knowledge or had built some sort of malware that went live on the point-of-sale terminals and spread across a large number of stores very quickly and captured data for a number of days. There’s a good chance that there was some amount of insider knowledge.” This incident is the second-largest data breach ever involving a store.
