Many stars flaunted their passion for fashion in 2013, and earned a spot on all the best-dressed lists. But which stars will continue their style run in 2014? Here’s a look at the stars who made the cut and are predicted to continue to do so. Also, here’s why:
There was, of course, that controversy that followed Julianne Hough‘s Halloween costume…and her breakup with Ryan Seacrest. But let’s not focus on the negative, and instead remember the talented laid-back California style of this talented dancer. One thing’s for sure – she’s consistently prone to taking risks, for better or worse. From sequined and sparkly dresses to cowboy boots and floppy hats, here’s hoping her ability to transform her style will take her into 2014 with a bang.
This girl isn’t just known as Phil Collins’ daughter anymore – Lily Collins is an actress and style star in her own right, showcasing outfits that include the Bambi sweater from Givenchy’s Fall 2013 collection to one of the most chic pantsuits and frilly white combos we’ve ever seen. Her ability to blend black with a pop of color, mix high and low, and dress up or dress down with ease is impressive and we’re certain we’ll see more of her in the coming year.
Kerry Washington‘s been on the scene for a while. I once met her at a charity dinner as a reporter for a celebrity gossip magazine and even back then she carried herself with grace and humility, though no one really knew who she was. She dressed just as beautifully back then so it’s no surprise the fashion designers are all starting to clamor for her to wear their designs. Nevertheless, the great thing about Kerry Washington is that she knows how to mix and match and be unique, but she also knows what looks good on her, whether it’s bold canary yellow Jason Wu or glittery Miu Miu. People.com and Eonline have both declared her one of the biggest style stars of 2013 so we won’t be surprised if we see her claiming the top spot once again in 2014. Even while pregnant, we know she’ll look good.
Everyone knows 2013 was a tough and horrible year for Lea Michele. Somehow, with all the tragedy, her style only got better. It seems that Lea Michele, the star of Glee, is coming into her own. She’s a strong and independent woman and her current style is making it so. She knows what to wear to make a statement without looking over-the-top. From girly floral Valentino and Lela Rose to high slit Versace, Lea Michele, the star of Glee proves that strong and sexy will be the go-to statement of 2014.
