Diane Von Furstenberg One Time Deal?

New York Fashion Week will be different this year from the past: new venues, a new show schedule and fewer seats for fashion bloggers. Many designers have decided to part ways with the Lincoln Center, home to Fashion Week. Vera Wang will be at a downtown gallery and Diane Von Furstenberg and Michael Kors are showing at Spring Studios in Tribeca. Many raise eyebrows at Furstenberg leaving the tents, considering she is president of the CFDA. However, Furstenberg has stated that the move is mainly because of the 40th anniversary of her wrap dress and she wants to go big. Is this a one time deal? Will she be back at the tents in September?

Miley and Marc Jacobs

We know Miley Cyrus as the twerking, tongue out, foam-finger singer of 2013, but now she is the new face of Marc Jacob’s spring 2014 ad campaign. In the ad Cyrus is in Marc Jacobs straight off his spring 2014 runway. Was Cyrus hinting towards her new job when she stepped out to the Met Gala in Marc Jacobs?

Macy’s Cutting Jobs

Macy’s is cutting 2,500 jobs in hopes of reorganizing to stay profitable. Even though Wednesday sales rose 4.3% during the 2013 holiday season. To defend themselves Macy’s says they will reassign and/or transfer some workers and add more positions, concluding a total workforce of about 175,000.
