 Anna Wintour, ‘The Fashion Fund’ to Air on Cable TV

Condé Nast’s artistic director and editor in chief of Vogue will star in the newest iteration of “The Fashion Fund,” a televised documentary that lifts the curtain on the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund competition. If this sounds familiar, it’s probably because it is. The series ran on Hulu three seasons ago as a Web show with episodes running just 23 minutes apiece.The new series, however, consists of six, hour-long episodes that will air on Ovation TV beginning Jan. 22 at 10 p.m. In addition to Wintour, who serves as one of the judges, “The Fashion Fund” features designer and Council of Fashion Designers of America president Diane von Furstenberg, J. Crew president Jenna Lyons, Theory co-founder and chief executive officer Andrew Rosen and Ken Downing, fashion director and senior vice present of Neiman Marcus.

Lanvin Sets Plans for 125th Anniversary

Lanvin is marking its 125th anniversary by using new technologies to showcase its rich past. The French fashion house plans to unveil rare archive images and exclusive content on its Web site and Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram pages. From early February, will host a new section titled Lanvin History, featuring previously unseen photographs, archive video footage and original gouaches by founder Jeanne Lanvin. The Facebook page,, kicked off the festivities on Jan. 1 — Jeanne Lanvin’s birthday — and will post updates every Thursday showing the important dates in the house’s history. Lanvin’s 225,000 fans on Instagram (@lanvinofficial) can also check in every Thursday for images of objects found in Jeanne Lanvin’s office at the house’s historic headquarters at 22 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris.

Levi’s, Fashion Law Institute Team Up for Fashion Law Bootcamp

Levi Strauss & Co. and the Fashion Law Institute have teamed up to offer a West Coast edition of Fashion Law Bootcamp in San Francisco Aug. 4 – 9. This will mark the first time the program will be held outside of New York and the Institute’s home at Fordham Law School. This annual intensive summer program will bring together fashion professionals, attorneys and students in law and design to experience fashion law outside of the regular university curriculum. “Levi Strauss & Co. is a global leader in many areas of the Fashion Law Bootcamp curriculum, from innovation and brand protection to social and environmental sustainability,” said professor Susan Scafidi, who founded the Fashion Law Institute and will conduct the program.
