Anna Wintour is undeniably one of the most influential people in the fashion industry. As editor-in-chief of Vogue and also partially responsible for the Costume Institute Gala, it is only right that The Met has decided to rename their costume institute after Wintour. The newly named Anna Wintour Costume Center will open its doors on May 8, and thanks to a $40 million renovation it will be better than ever. Besides the new 4,200 square foot main gallery an updated costume conservatory laboratory and expanded study and storage facilities will be included. We can’t wait to see it!
