Topshop ‘s Virtual Runway Experience
Topshop wants customers to experience their upcoming London Fashion Week runway show. During the February 16th Topshop Unique show, they are partnering with Inition, a London-based 3D agency. The show will be live streamed into the windows of Topshop’s Oxford Circus flagship and the virtual reality experience will make shoppers feel like they’re really there. Those watching the show with special head-sets will experience a 360-degree experience that will include both the runway and backstage. “This season’s live stream in virtual reality…takes the idea of a traditional fashion show to a new dimension,” said Sir Philip Green. Topshop will of course live-stream the show on its website and the looks and makeup shown will be available to for purchase right after the show. Quick shoppers will have the pieces three months before they hit stores.
