Joie Partners With ‘Fashion Project’ And ‘She’s The First’ To Make Fashion A Force For Good

Now there is another fabulous reason to love contemporary line Joie even more. Yesterday Joie announced a partnership with Fashion Project, an online clothing donation and resale destination, to raise money for She’s the First, an organization sponsoring girl’s education in the U.S. and abroad. The “Fashion as a Force for Good” campaign will run through Friday, March 7th at Joie boutiques nationwide and on Joie.com.This two-week clothing drive offers customers an opportunity to donate gently used luxury clothing, shoes, and accessories in retail stores or on Joie.com to be sold on FashionProject.com. Fifty-five percent of the proceeds from each sale will be donated to She’s the First. In addition, participating customers will receive 20% off their next purchase at Joie or Joie.com.Additionally, Joie will also be making a corporate clothing donation and curating their own brand closet on FashionProject.com, launching February 24, 2014. Customers can shop their favorite Joie styles on the Fashion Project site and 55% of proceeds from each sale will benefit She’s the First.“We are inspired by Joie’s generosity and are excited to serve as the catalyst for their commitment to giving back,” says Anna Palmer, CEO of Fashion Project. “Girls’ education is a cause that is very important to us and there is no better beneficiary than She’s the First to make sure the funds raised are put to good use.”

To celebrate the kick-off of the “Fashion as a Force for Good” promotion, Joie hosted a party for customers at their flagship boutique in New York City’s Meatpacking district (429 W 14th St.) last night.
