George Kotsiopoulos celebrated the release of his new book Glamorous by George: The Key to Creating Movie Star Style with a cocktail party at Swarovski on Michigan Avenue last night. Attendees had the chance to pick up a copy of his book and have it signed by Kotsiopoulos himself.
On top of getting the book signed he answered some of our questions. First apologizing for his and Kelly Osbourne’s loss against Giuliana Rancic and Ross Mathews playing a celebrity game at the Oscars he humorously explained, “I was off my game that day.” His book talks about how to make an average look a red-carpet-look with simple and easy tips. With that in mind we asked, “Who are your movie fashion icons?” On top of his list was Steve McQueen. After Lupita Nyong’o made a wow statement at the Oscars with her Prada gown and headband and jewels by Fred Leighton some may think that the headband might be making a more prominent appearance on the streets but Kotsiopoulos had a different opinion, “I think it has always been a look, but I did not understand it because she does not have a lot of hair. It wasn’t holding anything back. It looked kind of like a baby. (we laughed!) I think I liked it because it was kind of weird.” He also added, “I wish it went all the way around her head too.” With spring coming up we asked what trends will we see? The Fashion Police star replied, “bold colors, metallics, large pop art screen prints and longer skirt lengths.”
