51 years after Marilyn Monroe’s death, Allure Eyewear and Authentic Brands Group are introducing Marilyn Monroe Sun and Optical collections. Using the iconic actress as inspiration the collection features animal print frames, upswept cat eye styles and each eyewear is accessorized with Swarovski crystals for an extra hint of glam. The Marilyn Monroe eyewear brand will consist of three collections: “The Marilyn” Limited Edition Sunglasses (retailing for $495), the Silver Screen Sun collection ($98-$168) and the Optical collection ($150 and $180). All profits made from “The Marilyn” sunglasses will go to Hollygrove, once an orphanage Marilyn stayed at as a child and is now an EMQ FamiliesFirst agency.
