Tony Spring Shaping Bloomingdale’s
The new chairman and chief executive officer of Bloomingdale’s, Tony Spring, is already taking the $3 billion upscale department store chain to the next level. Spring recognized categories and services that the company can develop to help with the stores growth in areas such as food, electronics and stationary. Spring cited divisions of furniture as another business that the corporation could get into and also revealed that Bloomingdale’s has looked into children’s strollers.
Pharrell Williams Collaborating With Adidas
Pharrell Williams has made the Vivienne Westwood hat he wore at the Grammys the talk of fashion conversation but the red custom leather version of Adidas’ classic Firebird jacket he also wore foreshadowed what was to come. Today Williams will reveal he has been named Adidas’ newest collaborator. Set to launch his line with Adidas later this summer, he follows in the footsteps of Raf Simons, Yohji Yamamoto and Rick Owens.
Buccellati Revealing New Pieces
Buccellati will reveal the first pieces of their new engagement ring collection at Baselworld. The collection titled “Romanza” features eight ring styles in white gold and diamonds in two different carat weights. The rings will retail for $10,341 and will be sold exclusively at the company’s flagships at the end of the year. As well as the ring collection, Buccellati has a new line of iPhone and iPad mini cases named “Unica.” The collection represents the company’s entry into the tech accessory market. Engraved with Buccellati’s Rigato motif and encrusted with diamonds, the cases will be sold for $207,000 and $483,000.
