Mary Katrantzou to Collaborate with Adidas

London-based designer Mary Katrantzou will collaborate with Adidas Originals on a long-term collaboration starting this November. The collection will consist of women’s-focused apparel and a footwear line, although both can be unisex. Katrantzou is best known for her bright colors and unique prints. “I think print and color communicate perfectly to a wider audience. I wanted this collection to be more democratic because what I do every day is niche and luxury, so it’s great to translate my work into a product more people can enjoy,” she said. Katrantzou is so inspired by this collaboration she said there are plans to incorporate athleticwear into her own line. Past designer collaborations with Adidas include Yohji Yamamoto, Raf Simons, Rick Owens and Stella McCartney.

L’Oréal Paris Hosting Twitter Talk

L’Oréal Paris is hosting a day-long discussion on Twitter today. This is the beauty company’s first Women of Worth forum, which focuses on helping others and empowering women. L’Oréal ambassadors like Lea Michele, Eva Longoria, Arianna Huffington and Maria Shriver will participate in the encouraging talk. “The Women of Worth Twitter Forum is just one of the ways we are evolving Women of Worth, with the goal of bringing even more people together to honor, celebrate and share the stories of incredible women that are dedicated to giving back,” said Karen Fondu, president of L’Oréal Paris. The Women of Worth program is currently in its ninth year and recognizes women who are involved with social causes.

Victoria’s Secret Show Moving to London

The much-hyped-about Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will happen in London on December 2nd. The runway spectacle is usually staged in the United States, most recently in New York City. As usual, the show will still be broadcast on television at a later date. Victoria’s Secret angels Adriana Lima and Candice Swanepoel joined the lingerie brand’s chief marketing officer Ed Razek in London to announce the change yesterday. “We’ve wanted to come to London since 1998, and we’re just really excited to be here,” said Razek.
