Armani Group Settles Italian Taxes

The Giorgio Armani Group will pay 270 million euros, or $373 million, to Italy’s internal revenue service. This settlement concerns the company’s operations of three foreign companies from 2001 to 2009. The Giorgio Armani Group had tax residency for those companies in Italy, but should have paid the Italian income taxes as well. Other Italian fashion companies including Prada, Bulgari, Safilo, Marzotto and Luxottica have all recently paid a settlement to avoid going to trial.
