Lou & Grey was born out of the Loft Lounge line. However, the president and chief executive officer of Ann Inc., Kay Krill says, “Lou & Grey is its own brand.” When it comes to the clothes it is all about comfort and bringing chicness of street wear with lounge wear. The palette is very natural, using colors like gray, oatmeal and indigo.
That can also be said about the first and only freestanding Lou & Grey store in Westport, Conn. The store features the apparel line all retailing from $30 to $100. T-shirt dresses with zipper pockets and wide elastic waistbands are priced at $59.50 while textured popovers cost $59. On top of apparel the store, which is inspired by nature featuring painted oak floors and clothing racks suspended by natural rope, carries lifestyle merchandise: candles, books and beauty products as well as jewelry.
