Pharrell Williams Curating Art Exhibit

Pharrell Williams is involved in yet another project- he will curate an art exhibition. Titled “Girl” after his new album and forthcoming fragrance for Comme des Garçons, the exhibit will debut in Paris. Consisting of 40 works by prominent female artists like Marina Abramovic, Sophie Calle, Cindy Sherman and Tracey Emin, the showcase opens May 27th and runs through June 25th. In the past, Williams has created design and art objects.

Dior Homme Shows in Shanghai

Dior Homme has staged its runway show in Shanghai, in a nod to the growing luxury market in Asia. The fashion house also recently held another haute couture show in Hong Kong. “The fact that we are doing this again here in Shanghai makes me very happy and satisfied. It proves Dior Homme is doing very well here. Obviously this is a strong market,” said Kris Van Assche, creative director of Dior Homme. The collection was shown in a space reminiscent of the interior of a ship and featured a two-tier runway.

Diane von Furstenberg Opening More Stores

Diane von Furstenberg is set to open two stores in Southern California at The Grove in Los Angeles and at The Americana at Brand in Glendale. Opening in late fall, both locations will sell women’s ready-to-wear, accessories, shoes and bags. The Los Angeles exhibition celebrating the 40th anniversary of Diane von Furstenberg’s wrap dress will close on May 1st.
