Saks Fifth Avenue Opening Second New York Location

Saks Fifth Avenue is looking into a second Manhattan location at Brookfield Place in lower Manhattan. Sources do now know exactly how much space Saks will take. However, considering the desire to make this Saks a full line store, the space will have to be significant. Saks Fifth Avenue has declined to comment on the deal. On top of another location, Saks will be opening an Off 5th outlet just east of Vesey Street. This will be the first Off 5th in New York.

Michelle Obama Opening Anna Wintour Costume Center

First Lady, Michelle Obama will officially open the Costume Institute’s Anna Wintour Costume Center on May 5. She is set to cut the ribbon for the center at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Along with cutting the ribbon, Obama will also speak at the ceremony as well.

Bloomberg News Getting Luxury Coverage

Bloomberg News is starting with a digital push to increase its luxury coverage. The former digital editor of Vanity Fair, Chris Rovzar, will assist in Bloomberg building its editorial vision for luxury. In order to do this they will develop its luxury news product for terminal users and also supply un-gated content for Bloomberg’s Web site.
