In an ongoing saga of legal woes, fashion designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have been found guilty of tax evasion. Dolce and Gabbana’s lawyer will appeal the decision to the Italian equivalent of the Supreme Court. Dolce, Gabbana and accountant Luciano Patelli were sentenced by an Italian appeals court to one year and six months of jail time. Last June, the designers and Patelli were given a similar sentence, but didn’t have to serve time. The jail time given was below Italy’s two-year minimum. Alfonso Dolce, D&G general director Cristiana Ruella and finance director Giuseppe Minoni have all been sentenced as well. The defendants have always denied all the charges.
