John Galliano Back on the Fashion Scene
John Galliano is back! The Russian perfumery chain L’Etoile has been working with Galliano for the past few months. Details of the exact project are expected to come out soon but we do know that Galliano has taken the role as the beauty guru. John Galliano has kept a low profile but returned to the fashion scene as Oscar de la Renta opened his studio to him for a three week “residency” and has created costumes for the London production of “The Importance of Being Earnest.”
For the summer, Ray-Ban is revamping their most iconic styles using brand new materials. The brand’s most popular style, Wayfarer, will now be done in denim, brown and black calf leather and camouflage print in six color combinations. The Erika frame will be in screen printed velvet in bright hues of blue, red, purple, yellow and black. The Aviator style will now be seen in laser-cut steel and also in new flash frame options. The new materials will be showcased in an ad titled “Never Hide What You’re Made Of.” The collection will retail for $135 to $300 and will launch throughout the summer.
