There’s no doubt anymore that it’s a woman’s world. We are even taking over men’s fashions and doing them one better. Case in point? The contrast-collar button-down. You don’t have to work on Wall Street to wear it either. I knew when I saw Alexander Wang’s Spring ’14 collection with only the top button buttoned, this was going to be a big trend. The crisp menswear-inspired dress shirt should have a contrasting color or textured collars and possibly cuffs. Don’t try the single top button version at work though. Wear your button down with everything from shorts (untucked) to midi skirts (tucked in). Get on it!
