Selfridges plans to invest $505 million in expanding their accessories space over the next five years. The renovation will begin at the end of June with the Duke Street entrance a major part of the transformation. The plan for doubling in size their ground floor of luxury handbags to 50,000 square feet is in the works. On top of that they will be carrying eyewear, small leather goods and brands from big luxury to smaller labels. It will be one of Selfridges biggest projects. Including their men’s and women’s footwear departments and the Wonder Room which is stocked with fine jewelry and watches, the total space dedicated to accessories will be 100,000 square feet.
