Gisele Bündchen For Balenciaga

Gisele Bündchen to Front Balenciaga Fall Campaign

Balenciaga’s dark ad campaign for fall features Gisele Bündchen, who in February walked the brand’s runway show in a rare catwalk appearance. “I see Gisele for Balenciaga as strong, powerful, mysterious and uncompromising,” Balenciaga artistic director Alexander Wang said of the campaign, half of which is shot in black-and-white and the other half in color. Ads are slated to break in September titles as well as online.

Behind the makeup look is Diane Kendal, while Anthony Turner styled the hair for the shoot. Bündchen is no stranger to the brand, having featured in its spring 2011 campaign and runway show.

Zac Posen to Design Brooks Brothers Women’s Label

Brooks Brothers has turned its attention to women’s wear, hiring Zac Posen as creative director for its mainline women’s collection and accessories. In this new position, the 33-year-old designer will oversee the retailer’s current design and merchant teams and will also work on brand development and presentation for the women’s label. He will continue to design his own women’s collection that was launched in 2001, and will move forward with his other ventures, which include serving as a judge on “Project Runway.” The addition of Posen, whose first collection will hit stores worldwide for spring ’16, is expected to spark interest in the product and draw customers.
