Kit Harington Stars in Jimmy Choo Ads

Jimmy Choo has unveiled its fall-winter men’s campaign, which features Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington. Shot by iconic photographer Peter Lindbergh, the images also feature Jimmy Choo’s capsule collection with eyewear company Carrera. “Kit has an innate confidence and projects a playfully rebellious nature. He has an overtly masculine style that feels effortlessly cool, and a great sense of humor, and beneath that intensity he is a true gentleman,” said Sandra Choi, Jimmy Choo’s creative director. In addition to the men’s collections, Harington is also the face of the Jimmy Choo Man fragrance, which launches in the fall. The entire campaign will debut in September issues of magazines.

Former Chinese Model Debuts Fashion Line

Lu Yan, one of China’s first successful international models, is now a full-time fashion designer. Fifteen years ago, she changed Chinese beauty stereotypes and helped bring more diversity to the runway. “I never went to school for design; all I have is my experience of modeling for 15 years. I’ve worn so many different designers and I know what works and what kind of clothes work to cover a woman’s body to make it look even better,” Lu said. Her debut runway show took place in New York yesterday, which showcased her Comme Moi fall line. The collection is aimed at women “who can afford luxury but want something different.” Lu also says she is obsessed with cutting fabric properly. According to buyers, her richly colored pieces are meticulously designed with great attention to detail. Prices range from $150 to $1,000 for clothes and accessories.

Charlotte Gainsbourg Designs for Current/Elliott

French actress Charlotte Gainsbourg has designed a capsule collection for denim label Current/Elliott. The collaboration will start in the fall and will last for a year. Gainsbourg will also star in the campaign, starting with the spring 2015 collection. The collection consists of about 40 pieces including jeans, tops, blazers, corduroy outerwear, tailored wool suits and knit pieces. Charlotte Gainsbourg for Current/Elliott will hit stores worldwide in the end of July.
