To celebrate the launch of its New Jackie necklace, Gerard Darel has created a mini-film. The film was shot by Jean-Paul Lilienfeld and was inspired by the young Jackie Bouvier as a student in the Paris of the Fifties. Model Marjolaine Rocher, who has appeared in the brand’s print campaigns, is featured in the film that will launch in movie theaters mid-September. The New Jackie necklace is a reinterpretation of a pearl choker worn by Kennedy during a state visit to Paris in the Sixties. The original has been acquired by Gerard Darel at Sotheby’s in 1996. The New Jackie necklace is made of blown glass pearls attached by an adjustable grosgrain ribbon and will retail for $357.92.
