Dior’s Fall Campaign Goes Global

Dior’s fall digital fashion campaign is coming to life with video content. Clips shot by photographer Willy Vanderperre will appear on airport screens in the US, China, France, Italy and England. If you’re traveling, keep an eye out at airports at the end of July in China, and then during New York, London and Paris fashion weeks in September. The campaign features chic women lounging in an apartment decorated in a midcentury style. August and September fashion magazines worldwide will have the full campaign.

Gisele Bündchen to Accompany Trophy

Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen will escort the FIFA World Cup trophy on Sunday before the final game.  The trophy will arrive in a custom-made Louis Vuitton trunk, which was commissioned by FIFA in 2010. The final match after the month long competition will take place in Maracana stadium in Rio de Janeiro.

Michael Kors Expanding Menswear

Mark Brashear, former CEO and chairman of Hugo Boss, has been hired as the new global menswear president for Michael Kors. Brashear will lead the expansion of the company’s men’s business, which will include the opening of freestanding men’s stores next year. In addition, Kors has a new 22,000-square-foot flagship opening in New York’s SoHo neighborhood and has decided to devote an entire floor to menswear.

Kors also announced the fall launch of his first men’s fragrance, called Michael Kors for Men. “We didn’t knock ourselves out with the name,” the designer joked. The cologne has notes of bergamot, coriander, star anise, black pepper, thyme, suede, sage, patchouli, sandalwood and musk. Eaux de toilette, aftershave splash, aftershave balm and body wash will be offered at Macy’s, macys.com, michaelkors.com and at Michael Kors boutiques. (Holiday gifts for your man? Check!) The print campaign was shot by Mario Testino and will debut in September fashion magazines.
